1992 - Founded as a personnel retraining institute by Resolution No. 74 dated January 31, 1992 of the RoA Government
1999 - Renamed to Crisis Management Institute by Resolution No. 224 dated April 15, 1999 of the RoA Government
2003 - Restructured to Crisis Management Institute SNCO by the RoA Government's Resolution No. 616-N dated May 15, 2003
2005 - Renamed to Crisis Management National Academy SNCO of the RoA Government's Resolution No. 1055-N dated June 29, 2005.

Entrance examinations - Mathematics (oral), Armenian language (dictation), Geography of Armenia (interview)
The education is implemented in a collaborative way
The CMNA graduates are awarded a graduation diploma which is a state-authorized document asserting the higher education completion for state agencies
The Academy has been implementing higher educational programs since 2003.
At the Academy the following units function: a scientific
council, students' council, student's rescue team.
Advanced teaching of the English language is provided.
The activities of the Academy are regulated by approximately 20 resolutions adopted by the RoA Government.
- Crisis Management, tuition per semester - 320.000 AM dram, duration of education is 2,5 year
Graduates with secondary specialized educational program background may
apply for and be admitted to the 2nd year of the Academy's Bachelor curriculum.

The students publish a newspaper called "Crisis Fighters".
Within the international cooperation projects the Academy organizes its students' exchange programs with various countries' fire-fighting and rescue structures and educational institutions.
The graduates with distinction are provided with work at the Rescue Service of Armenia, getting a title of R/S lieutenant.
