Armenia 's well known and best specialists of design, including three professors, six docents and five specialists with Ph. D. are members of the teaching staff of the Institute.

Form of education – stationary (studio-based and private).

Tuition fee discounts and privileges exist for the children of persons, perished during the liberation battles in Artsakh, disabled students, for children without parents, as well as for students with best achievements.

A scholarship is being granted for the students with best achievements.

The graduates are awarded a graduation diploma which is a state-authorized document asserting the higher education completion for state agencies

A students' council and a student's production function at the Institute.

The Institute has one-month preparation course, as well as an opportunity for studying of folk art crafts in three months.

The teaching is being organized according to state standards and curriculum of advanced European schools of design.

Faculties and branches

DESIGN

– Industrial design: object projection, furniture, equipment;

– Graphic design and packing: elaboration of elements of graphic firm style, advertisement, computer graphics;

– Setting design (interior, exterior) for living, working, producing location; landscape design;

– Textile design: carpet, tapestry, rug, cloth design (batiks);

– Applied design: art elaboration of metal, wood, ceramic, stone;

– Advertisement design.

The entire studying process in aforementioned faculties is structured by method of creative competition.

The duration of studying at baccalaureate is four years, in magistrate – 2 years.

Admission exams for 2007: graphics, painting, composition.

Tuition fee for the academic year 2007/2008 is 200,000 drams.

The Institute is equipped with:

- educational and productive basis,
- studios,
- laboratories,
- library,
- an event hall with 500 seats.

The Institute provides its graduates with work and supports them in continuing their education in abroad.

Except of four-year education the Institute organizes also one-year specialized teaching of folk arts (blacksmith's work, silver curving, wood curving, etc.).

Other specialists with higher education can study at the Institute with intensive teaching program.

The Institute supports students with best achievements to continue their education in the magistrates.

The Institute is a laureate, participant and organizer of exhibitions, seminars and competitions both in Armenia and abroad. The Institute has established contacts with professional design centers of different countries. It possesses its own specialized gallery in Paris .

From 1998 to 2004 the Institute awarded “Best design” and “Skillful Young Specialist” diplomas defined by “Gold-making” international exhibition.

The Institute actively participates in creative programs of Armenia 's Union of Designers. Its graduates are already established themselves as artists. Many of them are members of creative unions of Armenia .

For “Roslin” Art Institute it is important to establish international contacts with design teaching specialized centers in Italy and France .

The culture is an indivisible part of Armenia . Through the centuries, since Urartu times, Armenia passed a hard and interesting way of culture's development. It never stopped even when Armenia constrained to have long and persistent struggle with powerful states of East and West. The Armenian nation has created many rich spiritual and material values, expressing its artistic genius. Today our debt is to protect and multiply that heritage.

In our country it is undisputable the professional importance and priority status of design in the conditions of new market relations. This is the reason that the activities of “Roslin” Art Institute are aimed to study modern directions of design and train young specialists.

“Roslin” Art Institute was founded in 1992 on the base of “Urartu” souvenir factory which was famous in Armenia for many years as a center for development and protection of folk art crafts.

Today it supports the complicated process of design teaching fulfilled by “Roslin” Art Institute with its experienced masters and technically equipped workshops, being an educational and productive experimental base for it.

The current design teaching in “Roslin” Art Institute practically includes the specialization of main areas of design, which are selected according to the labor market demand.
